I want to borrow a book. How can I do that?
- The library has various departments which offer the option to borrow books in Bulgarian and in foreign languages, as well as other items for home use:
– Loan Department;
– Children’s and Teens’ Department;
– Arts Department;
– German Reading Room;
– American Corner.
- To borrow a library item to take home, you need to have an active subscription of minimum 1 month, but it is preferable to use the option for a six-month or an annual one.
How can I order a book or a periodical?
You can place your order on the library website via an online order form or in person on the library premises.
Following the submission of the order, the retrieval of the ordered item from the book repositories will take some technological time. Please bear in mind that periodicals may not be borrowed for home use!
What is the book loan period?

The same period applies to the reservation of books and periodicals in the respective reading rooms.
