  Summary/ Description of Activity
  Library is delivered to seniors, sick people and disabled people - to all who can't visit the library. The content of the activity: librarian's first visit at home, telephone order, telephone communication before every delivery (frequency of delivery on their request), librarian's visit once a year with interview about their wishes.
  Learning objectives:
  Users are still or again connected with library and books. There are restored social connections with library employees. Reading habits maintain and increase mental activity of seniors. Librarian`s visits are very positive, because seniors know them already and though they trust them and this contact sometimes become one of only few communication links with the real world.

  Evaluation of the Learning Objectives
  We have achieved the following:development of reading culture; higher quality of life; increased the psychological fitness of seniors; increased the social connections; intergenerational connections; it is important for users that someone gives them time, attention and respect.
  Evaluation of the activity
  Users have received desired library material in time. The activity fulfilled the expectations of the staff.
  Evaluation of what was learned by the participants
  The users developed critical evaluation of fiction. They learned the historical and geographical facts, social happening, political situation, famous people, natural sciences, creative works and instructions for healthy life.
  Evaluation of what staff have learned
  The stuff learned about the needs of seniors, their interests and experiences. The stuff learned about the living circumstances and environment of seniors.

  What would you change to improve activity?
  We would improve the activity with e-mail service. We would offer a catalogue of recommended books and monthly a leaflet with information about new books.
  What particular circumstance could affect a change in the activity?
  We have to consider different circumstances and needs of target group.
  Other possible Activities
  If user`s state of health gets worse, the librarian or volunteer could read him a book and talk about the book content.
  Best practice
  After seven years we can guarantee - it is the best practice. A few public libraries in Slovenia also practice this activity.
