  Summary/ Description of Activity
  The San Cosmeiro hat is one of the most popular dressing complements in the Galician traditions. It adapts its design to different regions and it was wear to protect farmer from both sun and rain. To watch the video go to this link: http://www.mazaricos.net/index.php?id=56. The activity consist in a series of sessions where senior can learn the technique of making San Cosmeiros hat. The clases are divided in several lessons, including tools, material selection, handcraft techniques and product deliver final finishing.
  Learning objectives:
  To recuperate an ancient tradition of a handycraft that was close to dessapear the seniors learn how to make this kind of traditional hat. The goal is to produce a small amount of them towards to be presented in a future craft show.

  Evaluation of the Learning Objectives
  Different levels of skills have been improved in order to deliver nice hats. The results prove to be a learning activity highly connected with their local traditions.

  No problems were found except different levels of skills no changes planned.
  Evaluation of what was learned by the participants
  They have learned how to make traditional hats, additional learning could come from the local stories related to the hats having like reference their family costumes.

  No problem found on top teachers got ethnographic knowledge based on local traditions.

  Maybe to add some videos showing in the second workshop what has been done in the first one.

  The lack of raw material needed for making the hat.
