EVALUATION OF ACTIVITY
  Evaluation of the Learning Objectives
The participants were able to sign up for an Ebay account if they wished. They will need to check their bank accounts as part of the authorization process for obtaining a PayPal account. They were able to see how to put an item up for sale and can now track the item used over the next week. Some participants just wanted to learn about it rather than actually sign up.
  Evaluation of the activity
A good size group. A relaxed and fun session with plenty of staff available to help those who required assistance. A couple of participants had not brought all the information they needed to sign up. A checklist of what to bring could be given to each participant next time the event is held so that they come with all the details they need. Overall they learnt the basics of how to use Ebay.
Evaluation of what was learned by the participants
Participants learnt how to use Ebay, including how to assess the reputation of other sellers and what they are offering. Participants learnt how to register on the Ebay site. They learnt how to search it and bid for an item. They also learnt how to add an item for sale. They could learn more about bidding for items as the course spent more time looking at the process of selling.
Evaluation of what staff have learned
Need to ensure participants have a basic knowledge of the internet and have an email address. One person could not remember their email address which meant that time was spent by a member of staff trying to help her to log in to her email. Users who wish to sell items need to know how to download photos of the items as there is not time to cover this in any depth during the session.

ANALYSIS OF EVALUATION
What would you change to improve activity?
Have another 3 hour session a week later to watch the progress of the item put up for sale the week before. It should be sold during this time. Participants would have seen the complete process of selling. An extra session would also enable them to get help with queries that have occurred whilst they have been using the site over the week.
What particular circumstance could affect a change in the activity?
Ebay is used in other countries therefore there should not be a problem running this training. Good internet links are required.
  Other possible Activities
Another session concentrating on buying from Ebay. Looking at alternative auction sites.
  Best practice
Yes as the group was small and there were plenty of staff, participants were able to get the help they needed. Good user feedback.
